Original handcrafted metal candle holder by the Bratislava-based artisan and craft artist Jozef Lichardus, who dedicated himself to creating metal utility and decorative objects in the second half of the 20th century. Between 1965 and 1982, he created various metal sculptures, figurines, coat hangers, metalwork, and candle holders, among other things, and also collaborated with the artist Štefan Koreň. His work is now an interesting example of combining artisanal metalworking with original design.
The candle holder is characterized by its hand-shaped metalwork, distinctive sculptural form, and decorative texture, making it not only a practical object but also a small piece of applied art.
The candle is secured on a metal spike at the top of the candle holder. Due to its design, candles of various diameters can be used, approximately 3–6 cm, depending on the specific type of candle and how it is attached.
