Flor means flower in Spanish, and a flower is hidden within this extraordinary being. The figure appears as a silent guardian of something fragile and rare. She stands peacefully, her eyes closed, as if constantly listening to the world around her. Her face is gentle and focused, but her body is enveloped in a dramatic, richly textured ceramic form reminiscent of a flower, a crown, or a protective cloak. The dark, glossy glaze contrasts with the natural color of the clay, while small golden accents and a red-and-black detail on her chest give her an almost magical character.
Perhaps she is the guardian of a flower that is yet to bloom. She does not need to protect a garden or a specific place. Instead, she protects what is fragile within a person—dreams, beauty, peace, or hope. And so, she needs neither sword nor armor. Her strength is peace.
The sculpture is handmade from clay and fired in a ceramic kiln. Every irregularity, texture, and modeling mark remains part of its character, reminding us that it was created by human hands, not a machine.
Guardian I – Flor is a ceramic being at the intersection of woman, flower, and guardian—quiet, slightly mysterious, and exactly the kind of piece that needs no further words in an interior. The sculpture is approximately 30 cm tall.
