No one knew why it happened. Every year, for a single night, the Golden Path Between Worlds would open and reveal itself only to those who carried a handmade, rectangular glass pendant with a golden center. It was said that the gold at its heart was not metal, but a captured ray of morning sunlight.
When the pendant warmed gently in the hand, the golden center would glow and momentarily reveal the place where the quietest wishes come true. In the morning, the path would vanish once more… but the pendant would forever remember that its owner had once found a piece of the magical world.
